eBook Launch Strategy: What to Do in the First 30 Days
Chapter Alley Editorial Team · March 5, 2025 · 7 min read
Amazon and other retailers weigh early sales velocity and reviews heavily when deciding how much visibility to give a new title, which makes your first 30 days disproportionately important.
In week one, focus on activating your existing audience — email list, social followers, and personal network — to generate initial sales and honest reviews.
In weeks two and three, consider limited-time promotions, category and keyword adjustments based on early performance data, and outreach to relevant blogs, podcasts, or newsletters in your genre.
By week four, review what is working: which channels drove sales, which keywords are ranking, and where readers are dropping off. Use that data to plan longer-term marketing rather than one-off promotion.
